Certificate II in Medical Services First Response Course

The Certificate II in Medical Services First Response HLT21020 course is delivered through a blend of structured lectures, workshops, case studies, videos, practical exercises, and real-world application. It includes both individual and group tasks, along with assessment activities, spread throughout the duration of the course.

The trainers and assessors responsible for delivering our course are accredited experts in their respective fields. They hold the requisite qualification(s) to deliver this course and meet the relevant professional experience requirements in line with the 2025 Standards Credential Policy.

The course delivery will be conducted over five (5) eight (8) hour days.

It is conducted through a combination of distance/online and face-to-face learning and assessment.

For group bookings, we offer the convenience of conducting this course at your preferred  location.

To obtain a nationally accredited qualification, participants must successfully complete the pre-course evaluation, practical assessments, and written exams. Detailed information about the assessments will be included in the course materials.

Recognition of Prior Learning is available to individuals who possess former experience in the construction industry, have previously held a construction card issued previously or from another Australian State.

The assessment is conducted through an extensive portfolio of evidence, workbook, questions and written scenarios to support your claim for RPL. Additional details regarding the RPL procedure will be conveyed before enrolment with any of our training assessors. During this phase, you and your Impact assessor will determine if there’s a need for supplementary training. Should this be the case, you may opt to undertake this via the completion of separate units (subject to an additional fee).

This qualification will be suited to the following job roles:

• Emergency Response Team (ERT) member
• Emergency Services Officer (ESO)
• First Responder
• Occupational Health and Safety / WHS Officer

Suggested pathways for further study after completion of this course include:

• BSB30719 Certificate III in Work Health and Safety,
• HLT31220 Certificate III in Basic Health Care, or
• HLTSS00027 Occupational First Aid Skill Set

Fee for service – $1,800 ($500 non-refundable deposit on enrolment)

RPL – $1,000 ($500 non-refundable deposit on enrolment) excludes gap training

Gap training per UoC $250 each

Course Deposits

A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your place in a course. This deposit covers administrative costs associated with enrolment, course preparation and reserving your place in the program. By paying a deposit, you are confirming your commitment to participate in the course.

IMPORTANT:

Please be aware that this course is only available to participants residing in Western Australia. Enrolments from outside WA are not eligible, and no refunds will be issued in these cases.

Additionally, we are not CRICOS registered and therefore cannot deliver security training to international students on a study visa. If you enrol while holding a study visa, you will not be eligible for a refund.

Cancellations by CORE Training Group

If CORE Training Group cancels or reschedules a course and is unable to offer a suitable alternative date or delivery method:

• A full refund, including the deposit, will be provided; or
• Students may opt to defer their enrolment to a future course date at no additional cost.
• Student-Initiated Cancellation

If a student wishes to cancel their enrolment:

• More than 7 days prior to the course start date: A partial refund may be granted, excluding the non-refundable deposit.
• Within 7 days of the course start date or after training has commenced: No refund will be issued, except in cases of compassionate or compelling circumstances, assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Deferrals and Transfers

Students may request to defer their enrolment or transfer to another course date.
