• HLT21015 Certificate II in Medical Services First Response

Residency in and possession of a Western Australian residential address.

Applicants must exhibit adequate language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills suitable for this level. An LLN evaluation may be conducted prior to enrolment to determine if the applicant necessitates LLN support for this course.

Participants have the option to undergo an LLN assessment with one of our certified assessors before finalising their enrolment in this qualification.

Basic to intermediate computer skills are also required for entry into this qualification.

The course will be delivered over one eight hour day. The Comply with Infection Prevention & Control Policies & Procedures programme offers some flexibility in timing and may include recommended work activities. These activities can be performed either on-site or in a simulated work environment as needed; arrangements for this will be made in consultation with stakeholders before the course begins.

You will have access to our highly skilled and industry-experienced Trainer, who will guide you in setting achievable completion timelines for each unit, aligning with your study objectives. Additionally, you have the opportunity to consult the Trainer throughout your study period for any queries or assistance needed in overcoming challenges you may encounter.

The course is structured as either a 1 day in-class session or 2 evening in-class practical sessions.

The Comply with Infection Prevention & Control Policies & Procedures course is delivered through a blend of structured tutorials, workshops, case studies, videos, practical assignments, and real-world application. A mix of individual and group activities, as well as assessment tasks, are integrated throughout the course duration.

All trainers and assessors are recognised industry experts, holding relevant professional experience and training qualifications. The team includes specialists from the security industry, former police officers, military personnel, and experts in emergency response and medical fields, ensuring a comprehensive and practical learning experience.

• HLTINF006 – Apply basic principles and practices of infection prevention and control

For participants to attain a nationally-recognised qualification, they must successfully complete a pre-course assessment, practical assessment, and written assessments. Detailed information about these assessments will be included with the course materials.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for HLTINF001 Comply with Infection Prevention and Control Policies and Procedures. This statement can be utilised to apply for credit transfer towards obtaining a qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

Acknowledgement of Previous Experience is accessible to individuals who possess former experience in the construction sector, have held a construction card issued previously or from another Australian State. 

The assessment is conducted through an extensive portfolio of evidence, workbook,  questions and written scenarios to support your claim for RPL. Additional details regarding the RPL procedure will be conveyed before enrolment with any of our training assessors. During this phase, you and your Impact assessor will determine if there’s a need for supplementary training. Should this be the case, you may opt to undertake this via the completion of separate units (subject to an extra fee).
