The Certificate IV in Leadership and Management is designed to reflect the responsibilities of those evolving as leaders and managers across diverse business and industrial environments.

Individuals at this level not only take charge of their own performance but also offer leadership, guidance, and support to their team members. They are tasked with some level of oversight in coordinating and assessing their team’s output.

These individuals may opt to formalise their experience by obtaining this Qualification through Recognition of Prior Learning or Current Competency.

Our Certificate IV in Leadership and Management course is delivered over six (6) months divided into over six (6) clusters.

This course has been designed to work in with those who have a busy schedule or are in FIFO roles.

Our delivery approach emphasises practical application over purely theoretical methods. Instead of relying solely on PowerPoint presentations, our classroom sessions blend theoretical knowledge with practical exercises. 

This method ensures that the learning material is not only understood but also applied in real-world workplace settings before advancing to the next module.

This learning strategy enhances the ability of learners to solidify their learning, as well as providing a fun and enjoyable learning experience.

The workplace project will bring your existing and newly acquired skills and knowledge together and implement this into your current work practices.

Nominal training hours for this Qualification equals to 425 hours, which is broken down into 128 hours of supervised instruction and 297 hours of unsupervised activities in the development of an Workplace Operational Plan

You will have access to our highly qualified industry experienced Trainer who can provide you with guidance to assist you with completion time frames for each unit to suit your study goals! You also have access to the Trainer throughout your study period to answer any questions you may have or help you overcome any stumbling blocks you may encounter.

  • BSB30115 Certificate III in Business or other relevant qualifications, or
  • with vocational experience in a supervisory role but no formal qualification

Prerequisites

Participants may be a minimum age of 18 years to attend.

Must live in and have a Western Australian residential address.

Applicants are required to demonstrate good language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills. Our courses utilise plain English, videos, photographs, and questioning to maximise learner comprehension and skill development necessary for their job role.

If you anticipate needing support due to LLN skills, please contact our head office prior to enrolling to discuss your training needs. An LLN assessment may be performed prior to enrolment to determine if you require additional LLN support for this training.

All students must present identification at the training course. A Photo ID, such as a Driver’s Licence or Passport, is the minimum requirement, along with 100 points of identification.

Recommended to have completed a Certificate III in a similar qualification with leadership units of competency.

USI Number Requirements:

Assessment

To obtain a nationally recognised qualification, participants must undertake an assessment project, complete course readings, and written evaluations. Assessment details will be provided with course materials.

Assessment due date – as agreed with the learner and outlined within the training and assessment plan.

A testamur for the qualification BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management will be issued following successful completion of this course and can be used to seek credit transfer towards achieving an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualification.

Recognition of Prior Learning – RPL

Recognition of Prior Learning is available to persons who have extensive experience in Management, Coordinator or Supervisory space or related fields. If you have over 12 months experience fulfilling a supervisory role, you should consider the RPL process by undertaking a self-assessment against the competency standards of this qualification.

Assessment is conducted via a detailed portfolio of evidence, workbook, questions and written scenarios to validate your RPL claim. Further information about the RPL process will be explained prior to enrolment with any of our training assessors. Where you and your Impact assessor can identify if there are any requirements for further training, you may choose to do this through the completion of individual units (at an additional fee).

Refund, Cancellation and Deferral Policy

CORE Training Group is committed to providing clear, fair and transparent arrangements for fees, refunds, cancellations and deferrals. The following policy applies to all students enrolling in fee-for-service training courses unless otherwise stated in a funding agreement.

Course Deposits

A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your place in a course. This deposit covers administrative costs associated with enrolment, course preparation and reserving your place in the program. By paying a deposit, you are confirming your commitment to participate in the course.

IMPORTANT:

Please be aware that this course is only available to participants residing in Western Australia. Enrolments from outside WA are not eligible, and no refunds will be issued in these cases.

Additionally, we are not CRICOS registered and therefore cannot deliver security training to international students on a study visa. If you enrol while holding a study visa, you will not be eligible for a refund.

Cancellations by CORE Training Group

If CORE Training Group cancels or reschedules a course and is unable to offer a suitable alternative date or delivery method:

  • A full refund, including the deposit, will be provided; or
  • Students may opt to defer their enrolment to a future course date at no additional cost.
  • Student-Initiated Cancellation

If a student wishes to cancel their enrolment:

  • More than 7 days prior to the course start date: A partial refund may be granted, excluding the non-refundable deposit.
  • Within 7 days of the course start date or after training has commenced: No refund will be issued, except in cases of compassionate or compelling circumstances, assessed on a case-by-case basis.
