Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for WA Police Force (WAPOL) Officers

Transform Your Police Experience into Recognised Civilian Qualifications

Transitioning from a career with the WA Police Force to the civilian workforce can feel overwhelming. The skills, knowledge, and experiences you’ve gained while serving as a WAPOL officer are invaluable, but they don’t always translate easily into civilian qualifications. At Core Training Group, we simplify this transition with our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) service.

What is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment process that converts your practical experience, skills, and training from WAPOL into Nationally Recognised Qualifications. These qualifications are based on national standards regulated by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and the Australian Qualifications Framework, making them relevant and respected across various industries.

Through RPL, your years of service in law enforcement can be recognised, helping you smoothly transition into roles in security, risk analysis, work health and safety, and leadership. The best part? You don’t need to spend time in classrooms relearning what you already know. Instead, you simply provide evidence that you’ve already mastered the material.

Why RPL for WAPOL Officers?

The civilian workforce operates differently from law enforcement. It uses different terminology and measures experience through qualifications and certifications that match industry standards. RPL translates your extensive police experience into qualifications that civilian employers can understand and respect, giving you a competitive edge in the job market.
