They may choose to formalise their experience by obtaining this Qualification through Recognition of Prior Learning or Current Competency.

- Must be a resident of Western Australia with a residential address
- Applicants must display proficient language, literacy and numeracy skills required at this level. A LLN assessment may be conducted at pre-enrolment to determine if LLN support is needed for the training.
- Participants may choose to undertake an LLN evaluation with a certified assessor before finalising their enrollment in this course.
- Basic to intermediate computer proficiency is necessary for admission to this course.

The Certificate III in Work Health and Safety course will be delivered over a minimum of 1 week, with class attendance of 5 days, each with 8 hours of face to face delivery. An additional face to face attendance of 5 days is advised to ensure project completion.
An initial 5-day classroom session is required to start the course. This applies to those not applying for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for any course units and serves to introduce the fundamental content. Students are expected to engage in unsupervised learning in the development of documents that support a Safety Management System plan and ensure that supervised hours are being met.
The total nominal training duration for this qualification is 305 hours, divided into 80 hours of guided learning and 225 hours of unsupervised activities in the development of documents and tools to support a Site Safety Plan, integral to a Workplace Health and Safety Management System (WHSMS).
Recognising the potential high-stress, fast-paced nature regardless of the industry you are currently in, this course is delivered and completed by two methods; a once-a-week in-person session and a self-directed approach for final project development.
A training and assessment schedule may be completed at enrolment or on completion of the face to face delivery phase to ensure that you are staying on track with your course completion. This flexibility allows for completion from any location in Australia, accommodating current commitments and time constraints. You may also be eligible for RPL.
