• Must be a resident of Western Australia with a residential address.
• Applicants must display proficient language, literacy and numeracy skills required at this level. A LLN assessment may be conducted at pre-enrolment to determine if LLN support is needed for the training.
• Participants may choose to undertake an LLN evaluation with a certified assessor before finalising their enrollment in this course.
• Basic to intermediate computer proficiency is necessary for admission to this course.

• Recommended to have completed BSB30719 Certificate III in Work Health and Safety, or Safety Representatives Course

The Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety course is delivered through a combination of structured lectures, interactive workshops, case studies, videos, practical exercises, and workplace applications. Both individual and group activities, along with various assessment tasks, are integrated throughout the course.

An initial 5 days of classroom attendance is necessary to commence the course each with 8 hours of face to face delivery; this is for those who are not seeking to RPL any units of competency; this is to deliver the initial course content. To complete the Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety course, you are required to complete written assessments and other small activities for homework. Homework can be done and submitted at your convenience post-course.

Nominal training hours for this qualification level is equal to 100 hours, which is divided into 40 hours of guided instruction and 60 hours of unsupervised activities. 

A training and assessment plan may be completed at enrolment or on completion of the face to face delivery phase to ensure that you are staying on track with your course completion. The point being, you complete your much-needed qualification regardless of current circumstance or time restraints from wherever you are in Australia. You may also be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
