Enrollees are provided with extensive learning resources, including a copy of ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management, along with support from trainers. The course is delivered through a blend of in-class and remote study, or exclusively remote study, available for immediate commencement.

The Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis training is designed to equip individuals for job roles such as Risk Consultants or Security Managers. It is also suitable for experienced consultants or managers who have acquired qualifications and skills through other forms of employment or training, such as in the Police Force, Corrections, and Defence. These individuals may opt to formalise their existing experience by obtaining this qualification through Recognition of Prior Learning or Current Competency.

This qualification is designed to provide the fundamental knowledge and skills required for strategic risk management. It is important to note that it does not aim to encompass every aspect of Risk Management planning and implementation.
- Must live in and have a Western Australian residential address.
- Applicants are required to demonstrate adequate language, literacy, and numeracy skills suitable for this level. A Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment may be conducted prior to enrolment to determine if the applicant needs LLN support for this training.
- Participants have the option to undergo an LLN assessment with one of our qualified assessors before finalising their enrolment in this qualification.
- While it is expected that candidates have a strong background in the Security Industry, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience, this is not essential. Experience in Work Health and Safety is also considered acceptable.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills are also required for entry into this qualification.

The Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis course is delivered intensively through face-to-face sessions over five (5) days, with each day consisting of a minimum of eight (8) hours of direct instruction. This format includes a combination of self-paced learning and face-to-face guidance and meetings to fulfil the training hour requirements set by the WA Police Licensing Branch.
For those not seeking Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for any units of competency, an initial five days of classroom attendance is mandatory to cover the initial course content. Students are also expected to engage in unsupervised learning activities, which include developing a Security Risk Management plan, to ensure the completion of the required supervised hours.
The total nominal training hours for this qualification amount to 100 hours. This is divided into approximately 40 hours of supervised instruction and 60 hours of unsupervised activities, primarily focused on the development of a real-time Risk Management Plan.
3 tutorials are scheduled after the course is delivered. These tutorials, of two days duration, are used to guide learners through their Security Risk Analysis projects and assessments.
These tutorials are scheduled 24 & 25 September, 21 & 22 October and 25 & 26 November. Attendance is not mandatory, but does benefit the learner greatly.
A training and assessment plan may be initiated at enrolment or upon completion of the face-to-face phase to ensure you stay on track with your course completion. This flexible approach allows you to complete your qualification regardless of your current circumstances or time constraints, from anywhere in Australia. You may also be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
